You’ve been a roller coaster ride, 2020! And just like that, you are almost over – and yep, it’s the time of the year when we can reflect on what we’ve accomplished and what we’d like to make better for the new year. Despite downfalls, I’m grateful that we made it here. Thank you for the lessons, for the ride. Although it was not a year that we expected, there was still good things to be grateful for.

Looking back at my goals, always includes my running improvements, accomplished running my sub 4hour marathon and looking forward to sub 3 this year. I was able to hit my 5kPB of 21min 55s way to go to sub 20min goal..wohoow! Sounds too ambitious? Why not?

Perhaps, 80% of my life for 2020 was all about running! Half of the quarter year, when pandemic was on it’s peak I managed to run a back to back full marathons inside apartment and self support solo marathon outside in solidarity to front liners and victims of this pandemic. Take note that running is a privileged that shouldn’t be taken for granted.

The year felt like it flew by that fast in some aspects and went really slow in others. Vacations were cancelled. Celebrating holiday seasons away from home can be emotional as well. My emotionally fragile state probably was not a helped seeing family gathered together during celebrations. I’ve had several achievements, but going home in a dark empty room cannot justify the feeling of loneliness, of isolation. There seemed to be nothing to celebrate at all.

There were pains, joys, hellos, goodbyes, friends you’ve built deep connections with come and go and there were things didn’t go as planned. It’s so terrifying for me! Salute to everyone who overcome their feelings and emotions that they didn’t discuss. You or let say, we must have been even more stronger by now.

I may not be able to accomplish some of the goals I’ve made but I’m always ready to hit the R.E.S.E.T button, more better, more stronger.

Keep shining, everyone! Whatever lies ahead on this 2021, never let anything dull your sparkle.

We’ve been through a lot this year, but what matters to me the most are priceless connections that made my 2020 memorable in a positive way.

Have a blessed, healthy, and love-filled New Year. May your troubles be less, your blessings be more, and nothing but happiness come through your door. We got this!! Sending my superhugs!!xoxo
